Who are you today?

You’re a 30 year old man now, you’ve got one amazing daughter that will be turning 7 in a few months, you’ve been to every one of her school programs, you had the best Christmas ever with her and you were there with her on Halloween in the car when the accident happened, you kept everyone safe and never left their side.

You are the best uncle in the entire world and you love to play with your newest nephew sometimes keeping him from going to bed at night.

You’ve got your own auto repair business that you run out of the garage and the people wait in line just to have you look at their car.  When you’re not working you’re volunteering at The Lords Diner and still using your money to buy clothes, shoes and coats that you take down to the bridge and hand out to all the ones that are less fortunate than you.

You’ve been riding that Harley of yours more lately and just spent a great day out at the lake with me, we started a fire, we just sat and thought how great it is to be out on a cool crisp day sitting by the water.

We chatted about a few things and I think clarity came to me about certain things that just don’t fit anymore.  Yes you said “hey dad, it’s your life, do what makes you happy” and I know you meant it, but if you don’t spread the happy what’s the use anymore.
Let’s get out on the next warm day and do it again…..
