Change before it's to late

he was watching tv,
she was disconnected,
they just were

• it's ok to say the wrong thing sometimes
  
• take a breath
• stop and think
• listen, I mean really listen
• don't ask questions anticipating the answer
  
• have the courage to make a decision
• say thank you often
• don't believe everything you hear
• remember that four are pointing back constantly
• if they like it and say it, then leave it be
• there are no easy answers
• sometimes it just is, and that should be good enough
  
• ultimatums never work
• if you say it, mean it
• if you mean it, say it
• the past is just that
• its ok to be wrong
• arsenals are only worthwhile in war
• shut off the idiot box
• it's not a game
• if you want to know, ask but be ready to listen

Looking back on the week

It's been a week alright, full of ups, downs, highs, lows and in-between.

• Job offered, Job accepted
• Commissioned or Non-Commissioned
  
• 6 on Friday that went unnoticed
• Web Site updated
  
• Saved some of my favorites a ton of money
• Another seizure
• Replacement car for the daughter
• Surprised with a bottle
• Conversations that end up with the same response
• Excitement about the coming months
• Offered a job that I'm not thrilled about but he's an adult and I'm pretty sure mine were not too pleased when I told them I was taking a dangerous job
  
• Asked to "please take a look at us"
• Office cleaned and ready for the future
• Big "O" moved to plain sight
• Week old things brought to light
• Old Scout things found and re-gifted, pretty certain my Cub Scout shirt still fits, NOT
  
• Ideas for change and enhancement are swirling around in my head
• Springtime is just around the corner
  

All in all it was a great week.

Somethings are meant to happen in our lives that take us on another journey.

• Learn that I don't need to do everything myself
• Delegate (must learn the meaning of the word)
• Don't be afraid to ask
• Create excitement
• Learn to enjoy wearing a tie once again

• Pants that zip off and become shorts
• Tents
• Dutch ovens
• Pinewood Derby's
• Finding a Popcorn Kernel (what a great title)
• Hey, wanna make a donation that will make a difference?
