That's me, the fixer.
I fix his stuff, her stuff, their stuff, I jump in the middle when I even remotely hear the words, "I need"
But who fixes the fixer? This moving is tough, 9 hours away, 5 munchkins that I won't be able to just toss on a pair of jeans and a shirt, drive up to the school for lunch or for that 30 minute Christmas Program, city noise once again, no more huge clusters of stars in the sky and no more rumble strips on the dirt road.
Everything changes, what to pack, when to pack it, what to keep, what to take, where do I put this, what about that, it's just a six month lease and those six months will be here before I know it.
Do my kids become Mr. and Mrs. Fix it around the Ponderosa?
What about all the junk in the Garages?
What about the bedroom remodel that's going on in the basement?
Which one of them is going to hop on the tractor and plow the drive when it snows?
Does anyone even know how to clean the filter on the water system?
Those are just some of the things that need "fixing". So if you have any suggestions, thoughts or ideas, don't keep them to yourself, share them, but don't think that you can fix it, but don't think that your input isn't important either.
I'm pretty sure everything is going to be just fine.
