Do we really need to be reminded?

• Snow packed streets, be sure to slow down
• Snow packed streets, don't tailgate
• Snow packed streets, your stopping distance increases
• Snow packed streets, bridges and overpasses are slick
• Snow packed streets, be sure to clean off your windows
• Temperature over 90 degrees, don't leave your child in the car
• Temperature over 100 degrees, be sure your dog has water
• Temperature below freezing, be sure to bundle up
• Windchill below zero, be sure to bundle up
• No moisture for over a month, be careful burning

Are we really that forgetful that we need to be reminded of the obvious but never reminded to

• Say please and thank you
• Hold the door open for a stranger
• Say excuse me when you crowd someone
• Smile
• Say hello to a stranger
• Lend a hand to someone worse off than you
  
• Mean it when you say it
• Thank those that serve in the military
• Remember that no matter how old they are, they are still your kids
• No matter how old you are, they are still your parent(s)

Maybe it's time the media outlets started reminding us of the things that really do make a difference and have life changing meaning.
