Once upon a time

 Once upon a time there was this boy and he was a very happy boy until one day something so dark and horrendous happened that his happy went away.

No matter how hard he tried he just could not get his happy back, but he was able to fake it and look happy, convey happy at times and even convince himself that he was happy and everyone around him was none the wiser.

This boy had this girl and she was the love of his life, he would do anything for her and she would do anything for him until one day they just broke up, they called it quits not because he wanted to but because it was time for her to have some happiness in her life for a change.

You would think that would be the end of the story but it's not.  You see, this boy was madly in love with this girl, she was the girl of his dreams, she understood him better than anyone else could, she looked out for him and she always checked in to make sure he was doing OK and even when this boy was a total ass she still stayed.  She didn't run away, she didn't run off and find her prince and she didn't disappear into thin air.  

That boy has another chance with that girl to see if there really can be happily ever after.  It's not going to be an easy journey there is a lot more to this story that has to be put to rest and he's still searching for his happy place. 

But....they've been in this story before.
